HAURAKI HOUSE

BUILD UNDER PRE 1911 HOUSE

Hauraki House

Not flashy. Not flamboyant. Just a quiet, considered renovation that perfectly suits the warm, unpretentious family who call it home.

Our clients loved their original Queenslander and were clear from day one: keep it close to the ground. No sky-high stilts, no sacrificing the garden for views.

The upper level opened up into a generous living space while the floor below was enclosed for the growing family's private quarters. The details were the joy. A sun-drenched shower with high-level windows. A cosy window seat nestled right into the garden.

And then there's the front door. A Dulux blue called Hauraki Gulf, chosen because that's where they got engaged. The house took its name from it.

Some details mean everything.

Love that last line as an ending. Keep or cut?
