WEST END SPEAKEASY

NEW SPEAKEASY BAR

Some spaces tell you what they want to be. This one whispered it.

The basement level of The Montague Hotel was hidden, purposeless, and quietly full of potential. The existing gaming room needed to relocate, and in solving that problem we found something far more interesting.

It was always going to be a speakeasy.

We took our design cues from the ostrich feather, that most iconic emblem of 1920s glamour. Deep blues and emerald greens, sumptuous wallpapers, gold curtains that fall like a stage reveal.

Styling is part of our service, and this fitout shows what that means in practice. Over 200 blue and green books salvaged from across Brisbane line the walls. The difference between a designed space and a lived-in one.

This was the beginning of a long and wonderful relationship with The Montague Hotel.
